Board of Directors

Our board members collectively bring extensive experience and expertise to the table. They contribute to regionwide development and project management across our entire asset portfolio. Each member offers unique perspectives and capabilities, ensuring comprehensive oversight and effective decision-making to drive forward our organization's objectives and initiatives.

Sarah Petersen

Sarah Petersen FCA - Chair

A Chartered Accountant, Sarah is Chair of the  Board of Directors and the Audit & Risk Committee for Far North Holdings.

Sarah Petersen has broad governance experience, including experience of investment assessment, risk management, and economic development. Raised and educated in Tai Tokerau, she brings a deep understanding of Northland's economy and serves as a Director for a number of other organisations.

Nicole Anderson

Nicole Anderson - Deputy Chair

Professional director Nicole Anderson, a chartered member of the Institute of Directors, brings expertise in business development and financial management to governance roles.

Raised in Te Tai Tokerau, she currently serves as Director of Top Energy, Te Ohu Kai Moana and chairs the International Accreditation Council.

Kevin Drinkwater

Kevin Drinkwater BCom, CA

Bringing extensive technology and finance expertise, Kevin Drinkwater is a Northlander who is passionate about Northland's development.

With a background in global business, he chairs Duffy Books in Homes NZ and serves on various boards, including North Power.

A seasoned director, he retired from Mainfreight, after almost 35 years, in 2020.

Jane Frances

Jane Frances

Economist and business consultant Jane Frances is known for her work contributing to regional development initiatives. 

 

Jane has an extensive background and networks in central government.  She has worked with Northland organisations to deliver on many economic, social, and environmental policies and projects.  Jane divides her time between her Northland farm and Wellington.

Lisa Parkes
Finance Director

Lisa Parkes started her role as Far North Holdings' Finance Director in November 2023, where she oversees the planning, development, and execution of the financial strategy to align with the Group's strategic goals. 

 

As a chartered accountant, Lisa has held key finance positions at Northpower Limited and The New Zealand Refining Company Limited. 

Adrian Tonks

Adrian Tonks BE (ESc)
GM Engineering 

Adrian joined Far North Holdings in late 2021 after 14 years as a consulting civil engineer leading teams and delivering projects across a broad range of industries and sectors.

 

At Far North Holdings, Adrian's expertise has been instrumental in working with key housing and development projects across Te Tai Tokerau.

Andy Nock FNHL CEO

Andy Nock
Group Chief Executive Officer

Since 2011, Andy Nock has served as CEO at Far North Holdings, where he's applied his extensive expertise in property and infrastructure development to foster significant partnerships and lead innovative projects throughout Te Tai Tokerau.

 

Prior to this, Andy offered Property development and Investment consultancy services to International and New Zealand based companies, with high-profile clients such as LaSalle Investment Fund, Carrefour and Pradera.

 

His experience includes leading roles at Auckland International Airport Ltd and Real Property Consultants in Europe.

 

Andy is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Rob Binney FNHL COO

Rob Binney
Chief Operating Officer

As FNHL COO, Rob Binney is in charge of managing and overseeing the property portfolio, health and safety, and aspects of airports.

 

His career has included several leadership roles overseeing the portfolios of several listed organisations, with a strong focus on customer service to drive business growth.

 

Before Far North Holdings, Rob was CEO of Kapiti Coast Airport Holdings Ltd, and has significant experience with Doha and Hamad International Airports, Auckland International Airport, and various New Zealand property companies

Chris Glabraith

Chris Galbraith
GM Maritime

Chris Galbraith has been with Far North Holdings since its inception 17 years ago. Now, as general manager, Chris is responsible for the daily operation of the Maritime and Marina Assets the company owns and operate. 

 

Prior to Far North Holdings, Chris worked at the Far North District Council (FNDC) as group manager (customer services), leading pivotal projects like the development of Kerikeri's Procter Library. As FNDC executive officer, he managed various development initiatives and strategic planning efforts. 

 

Chris's career has also included marketing, system upgrades, and relationship banking at ANZ Bank. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and is a Certified Marina Manager and Chair of NZMOA

Daniel Alexander

Daniel Alexander

Marina Manager

Daniel joined Far North Holdings in 2022, overseeing the operational performance, safety and efficiency of Kerikeri and Kaitaia Airports.

 

Daniel has a background in engineering, maintenance and airport operations and holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from AUT.

He currently leads the team and operations at Bay of Islands Marina, reporting to the GM Maritime. 

Mike Henwood

Mark Henwood
GM Projects 

Mark Henwood oversees construction and development projects across the region for Far North Holdings where he excels in applying his understanding of design concepts and their alignment with building standards.

 

Mark also has expertise in New Zealand's Building Act, code and compliance requirements and has previously led a 15-person team at Far North District Council, focusing on building consent inspections and processing.
