Annual Report reflects strong delivery across the Far North
Far North Holdings has released its Annual Report for the year ended 30 June 2026, reflecting a year of strong delivery, continued investment and progress across the Far North.
Despite a challenging economic environment, we maintained financial discipline while progressing important community and infrastructure projects, strengthening partnerships and continuing to invest in the assets that support our region.
The year also marked the first stage of our refreshed company strategy, with a greater focus on development-led growth and building a stronger pipeline of housing and commercial property opportunities.
Far North Holdings recorded an operating profit of $3.2 million, paid $5 million in dividends to Far North District Council and maintained total assets of $215 million.
Across the region, construction progressed on 28 new community homes in Kaitāia, alongside major construction management projects including the Kaikohe Library and Civic Hub and Kaitāia Airport resilience improvements.
Our transport and maritime operations also continued to connect the Far North, with 124,000 passengers travelling through Bay of Islands Airport, 42 cruise ships carrying 84,000 passengers visiting the Bay of Islands and 310 international yachts arriving into Bay of Islands Marina, Opua during the year.
Far North Holdings also contributed $109,000 back into the community, alongside strengthening key partnerships, including the signing of a Relationship Agreement with Ngāti Rangi ki Ngawha for the Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park.
Looking ahead, our focus remains on building a strong development pipeline, carefully managing our assets and capital and generating sustainable returns, while continuing to deliver positive outcomes for our communities across the Far North.
