Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park is set to welcome growers, researchers and industry leaders from across New Zealand and beyond, as host venue for the NZCPA 2026 Annual Conference on 5th June.
The event will bring together key voices from New Zealand’s emerging specialty coffee sector to explore the future of coffee growing in Aotearoa, while reinforcing Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park’s role as a hub for innovation, research and high-value primary industry development in Te Tai Tokerau.

Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park has been developed and is managed by Far North Holdings, working in collaboration with mana whenua Ngāti Rangi, Northland Inc and the local business community. Together, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating a future-focused space that supports sustainable enterprise, education and regional economic growth.
Following the success of the inaugural conference, the 2026 event will focus on building knowledge, capability and industry connections as New Zealand continues to define its place in the global specialty coffee market.
Attendees will hear from expert speakers, including keynote guest Kraig Lee from Kona Farm Direct, Hawaii, alongside updates on Northland crop trials, global research and wider industry opportunities.

The programme will also include discussions around plant varietals, processing and value-chain development, helping support the long-term growth of this exciting sector.
On 6th June, the event continues with a Field Day at Simons NZ Coffee in Doubtless Bay, where attendees will gain practical insight into coffee production through an on-farm experience showcasing one of Northland’s developing coffee operations.
Supporting Future-Focused Industry in the Far North
Hosting this nationally significant event aligns strongly with the wider purpose of Ngawha Innovation & Enterprise Park - supporting innovation, education, sustainability and economic opportunity across Northland.
As interest in crop diversification and high-value land use continues to grow, events like NZCPA 2026 help position Northland as a region capable of supporting emerging industries while fostering meaningful collaboration and knowledge sharing.
